I love my Kindle because I can carry my whole library in my pocket, but still buy physical books whenever I can!Mary Fanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11280462566854191985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345165168067011443.post-83407252308895598702014-03-29T10:16:04.800-04:002014-03-29T10:16:04.800-04:00I always assumed that kids were tech-bound, but I ...I always assumed that kids were tech-bound, but I guess it's because they're surrounded by tech that they crave good old-fashioned paper!Mary Fanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11280462566854191985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345165168067011443.post-74793390952305595232014-03-29T08:39:58.783-04:002014-03-29T08:39:58.783-04:00Having taught a few "creative writing" c...Having taught a few "creative writing" classes to High School students, I can second all of these observations. Your average teen isn't big on reading for fun, as that's what they do "at work." Of course, if you look at society as a whole these days, the same could be said of most adults, also.<br /><br />E-readers don't give the same feel as a real book, which is why you find that a lot of adults still read physical copies, so I don't buy the line that "print books will stop production altogether soon," as some people predict. I personally prefer print books when reading for enjoyment, and always will, so I'm happily biased.Martin T. I think we dont give kids enough credit and its great to learn they would actually like to hold a real book (maybe not for the reasons we thought but hey a book is a book!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08933122353356695092noreply@blogger.com
